A JOURNEY THROUGH SCENT

Our story begins with a memory—a memory of scent.

The inspiration comes from my grandmother. Her closet was a treasure trove of fragrances: Cashmere Bouquet soap, Soft and Dry deodorant, Keri Lotion, and the distinctive Carolina Herrera fragrance in its iconic yellow, black, and white polka-dotted box. And then there was Pleasures, one of her favorite perfumes. Each scent was chosen with care, matching her destination and mood—Tiffany for special occasions, for instance.

These scents are intertwined with my memories of happiness and warmth. Following her example, I’ve come to realize the profound impact scent has on our lives. Whether meeting a client, preparing for a wardrobe fitting, or enjoying time with friends, I always consider, "what scent will define this moment?"

by Vice, Inc. was born from this love of scent and its emotional power. During the first four months of COVID quarantine, two best friends—a celebrity stylist and his manager—found solace in reminiscing about happier times, cherished people, and beloved places. This shared passion led to the creation of a brand that captures those moments through the art of fragrance.
